Twenty-Eleven Season Preview
THE INTERWEB
Season 8 of Dickinson Coke Softball is upon us, Fans! You've all patiently waited for a new website and consistantly updated website, and look I'm off to a good start. Version 7 point friggin Oh is live. It's much like the Dickinson Coke Softball Franchise, refined and perfected over time. As for on the field, Coke again hopes to build on it's franchise best 17-2 2010 record and its 2nd consecutive trip to the Div II State semifinals (And 2nd straight heart-wrenching bottom of the 7th 1 run loss).

Roster Changes: All 8 guys return to the seasoned roster, lead by fearless website designer leader man-child-guy Jay "The Boss Man" Danbom. He is joined by team account manager Brian "The Checkbook" Wenko, Carter "Stick to the 'Principals'" Fong, Matt "The Thrasher" Michealson, Andy "First guy to wear pants guy" Murphy, Andrew "Softball Capris" DesRosier, Conway "Twitty" Heupel & Coke future Hall of Fame Pitcher Chris "The Raw Dog" Herold. Also joining the roster from the DSU Blue Hawk Baseball team is Adam "Sweet Heart" Hurlbert.

On the Women's side there were the normal changes. Back is Jen "The Enforcer" O'Brien , Kristen "The Flower" Fleury and Amanda "The Cool-Hand Dealer" Mickey. Bolstering the Coke roster this year is 2010 State participants Ashley "The Hook" Holmes and Haley "Carter's Sister" Fong. Additional roster adds are Megan "Carter and Haley's Cousin" Cross, Sara Jane Elizabeth Webster - "The First" and Angelena "The Effin' Mary Coach!" Mexicano. Holmes and Fong both played pretty solid softball in Fargo for Coke at State. Cross is a former Fastpitch player, as well as Webster and Mexicano. SJ Webster, still with the taste of success left in her mouth from playing for the DSU Blue Hawk softball team made the logical move over to the most successfull team in the history of No one really cares Dickinson COED Softball. And Mexicano, well we really don't know much about her (winky, winky).

The Classic League which at 1 time had as many as 8 teams in 2005 and 2009, and 7 teams in 2010, is back down to a league low 4. The same amount of teams that were in the league in 2006. Back of course as normal cause if they didn't I don't think the sun would come up in the east Bud Light, and Pokorny Chiropractic. New to the mix is All-American Travel. All games this year like last year are played on fields 1, 2 and 3.

Uni Changes: Thanks to Brian Wenko another year of new and improved hats. And if Trever from Boombah ever calls me back, we might have new Coke unis, but we'll see on Boombah.

We're all ready to Rake another year of Dickinson Coke Softball. So come back often! The season gets underway Wednesday, June 8th @ 6pm on South 3 against Pokorny.
